Travel Bursaries

THE PANCREATIC SOCIETY OF GREAT BRITAIN AND IRELAND

International Travel Bursaries

These are for trainees in Pancreatology Each year travel bursaries to the value of £500 are available to trainees who have had abstracts accepted for presentation at international pancreatic meetings including the European Pancreatic Club (EPC), IAP, APA and IHPBA meetings. The abstract must also be submitted to and accepted at the PSGBI annual meeting.

National Travel Bursaries

These are for non-medically qualified researchers/AHP Bursaries to the value of £300 are available to non-medically qualified individuals wanting to attend and present work at the annual meeting of the PSGBI.

Applications may be made following acceptance of the abstract for presentation (and even retrospectively) for any meeting in the calendar year between the PSGBI annual meetings. Applicants will be notified of their success after the PSGBI annual meeting. Applicants may submit more than one abstract (one form for each abstract) but no individual will be eligible to receive more than one Travel Bursary. Only one applicant is allowed per abstract and this must be the presenting author.

International Travel Grant

This fellowship to the value of £3000 is awarded to an individual wishing to gain experience in any worldwide specialist pancreatic centre. This experience may be in medical, surgical, scientific or nursing/dietetic fields.

The closing date will be 31st May 2013

Short-listed candidates will be invited to interview at the June Council meeting of the PPSGBI. June 25th 2013 at the SECC Glasgow (BSG).

The successful candidate will be informed June 2013.
